*SPOILER ALERT* WARNING DO NOT READ THIS UNLESS YOU'VE ALREADY SEEN THOR THE DARK WORLD.YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED.*SPOILER ALERT*

nO seriously, if you haven't watched it just walk away. Or..click away..whatever-just get out while you still can. I want y'all to have the same feels as I did watching this. They played around a lot with your emotions here, ESPECIALLY if you are a Thor or Marvel fan.

Yessiree, this Gif definitely represents how the feels washed over us during the whole movie. Here is my personal take on the movie though. I won't say it again but...

Okay, here goes nothing.

Thor The Dark World. What can I say? When I found out Alan Taylor was taking over Kenneth Branagh's place as Director I'll admit I was a little worried. The fact that the first film was executed perfectly, there would most certainly be high hopes for the sequel. All I knew about Alan Taylor is he directed a couple of episodes of Game of Thrones. I didn't lose faith in him whatever the circumstances, by all the good reviews for the acclaimed series I still had hope. SO I held my hopes high. And lowered them, upon entering the cinema to avoid any disappointment.

Well I guess this calls for an entire synopsis.

The beginning is almost the same as the first film: Odin narrates about a terrible race of elves (Hence, Malekith) who wants to destroy the entire universe with a weapon called the Aether. But after a lengthy battle, the Asgardians won with the leadership of Odin's father (I can't remember his name, Bodor? Bolgor?) And they think the elves and the Aether was destroyed. But it obviously isn't, as already pointed out in the trailer. Malekith and his trusty sidekicks kept themselves locked away, waiting for the Aether to reveal itself. Main titles roll in, and then BAM! In comes Loki, all in chains to face his adoptive parents. Frigga still loves him, despite what he's done. So do all his fangirls, by the way. Odin, however, doesn't share our empathy. He's all on the defense when Loki says its his birthright to be king, Odin replies by saying it was his birthright to die. Ouch. But it is true. He was abandoned as an infant, Odin saved his life. The only reason Loki is alive is because of Frigga.

YOU GO MAMA FRIGGA! Okay moving on.

Thor is battling across the Nine Realms with The Lady Sif and Warriors Three. It's got a nice ring to it doesn't it? So far they're doing alright, and errybody is happy. Well, Thor is kinda bummed cos he can't spend time with Jane on earth. We also see Sif getting friendzoned by Thor. Hard luck, Sif. Back on earth, things are ballistic. Eric Selvig has gone completely bonkers, Darcy's gotten herself an intern and Jane tried to forget Thor by putting herself out there. Obviously it didn't work out, yay for Thor! Jane then discovers this place where strange things happen, like gravitational imbalances and convergence. Watch the movie and you'll understand.

Jane is transported to an unknown location, which is definitely not anywhere on earth. She sees some reddish black thing trapped between a pillar and stretches her hand to touch it. It is absorbed into her body. And what else could it be but the Aether? Yes, the Aether has a host, which is happens to be Thor's love interest. What could be worse? Malekith wakes up from his deep slumber. That's an "Oh Shit." moment right there.

Heimdall can't see Jane when she is in that unknown place, so Thor goes to earth to find Jane. She arrives back on earth the way she came, and meets Thor! Aand he gets slapped twice by Jane. But he's all understanding, I guess. Thor brings her to Asgard, to find out what's wrong with her. Odin realizes its the Aether, and tells them what Malekith planned to do with it. He still thinks the elves were wiped out though. Those elves are planning to attack Asgard, because they know the Aether is there. Oh, and Loki is in trapped in the dungeons below when the evil elf arrives and releases all the bad guys. E-except for Loki. Meanwhile, Frigga protects Jane from Malekith. And boy, can she pack a punch. She fights so much for Jane, to protect her. But then comes that part I hate. She is killed by Malekith!

But I gotta say, Odin's reaction was so..dull. He literally was emotionless the whole time. Thor and Loki's reactions was clear. But then again, maybe Odin is shattered inside. His heart broke at the death of his wife, overcome with grief, knowing he can never be the same without her. But he doesn't show it. No, he keeps it all inside him because his people look up to him as their leader. He can't afford to let them down by crying over his deceased wife. He has to remain strong for them. And that's truly saddening.

We still love you, Mama Frigga.

After a grand and depressing funeral for the queen, Thor has a plan to remove the Aether from Jane. With the help of Heimdall, The Warriors Three and Lady Sif (Her being rather reluctant) they help Thor. He takes Loki along with him, because only he knows the secret passageway out from Asgard. After a hilarious wild goose chase, which involved the special appearance of "Captain America" and a spectacular commentary by Loki on Thor's flying skills, they reach Malekith's planet. I'll admit I was pretty shocked when Loki suddenly "turned the tables" on Thor, only to realize it was all a ruse to get the Aether out of Jane. And boy was I right. Thor's plan to DESTROY the Aether epicly failed however. Malekith absorbed the Aether and became powerful. So he leaves, while his elves take on Thor and Loki. But omg when Loki protected Jane TWICE from the elves..

He pushes her away and almost gets sucked by an crushing device, when Thor saves him. The next he shields her from an explosion. Haha, Shield. Moving on.

Thor's fighting Malekith's right hand man. He's winning, but that guy's too strong. Thor is about to be killed, when suddenly Loki stabs him with a spear. And THEN that beast pulls Loki in for a hug, only Loki's been stabbed by the spear protruding from the beast's chest. I bet you there will be a gifset featuring Thor screaming "NOOOO!" soon enough. Loki dies.

 At this point I'm like

But I knew there was NO WAY they would let him die just like that. So I was patient. I continued to pay attention. So Thor and Jane find a way back to earth, by the convergence. What I understand from it is when all the worlds e.g Asgard, Jotunheim, Midgard are all lined up, which only happens every 5,000 years, a convergence happens, where portals to other worlds are opened up on Earth. Malekith planned to use Earth as a base to release the Kraken-I mean, Aether.

Oops, forgot to mention what happened to Darcy and Ian (the intern). They freed Eric from the old folk's home. I guess he was taken in after he went in public nude. All because his brain was scrambled by Loki. But he's okay now.

Malekith arrives in his gigantic ship and is about to end the universe. Thor battles him, distracting him while Jane and Eric figure out a way to align the convergence properly. Meanwhile, a guard stands before Odin and says they found a body. Odin looks at the guard and says "Loki." Why would he assume its Loki? My first thought. I was having my suspicions at this point. But then we switch back to Thor, who's still fighting Malekith. They battle by passing through the convergences and go through a few worlds. Hilarity ensues.

Finally, Thor managed to defeat him by slamming him with his overly charged hammer (It traveled through worlds to find him, getting energized in the process) Malekith is thrown back to his own planet. Oh, and his spaceship crushes  him. The Aether? We'll get to that part later.

Bear with me a little more. Thor returns to face Odin, to pay for treason. Miraculously, Odin forgives him, and says he deserves to be King for his bravery. Although Thor is honoured, he does not want to accept the throne he thinks himself not suitable to rule, as he could never understand the responsibilities a for a leader of Asgard. He then says that Loki, he would've been able to take charge of Asgard should he still be alive. Odin then says he respects his decision, and that he's always loved Thor in his heart, even though he's never said it. Thor leaves, most probably to meet Jane. I remember during this part I was thinking: "Please Odin don't turn to Loki, please Odin don't turn to Loki.." I mean, it was fairly obvious that the guard from earlier was actually Loki in disguise. I figured he either killed or trapped Odin somewhere and posed as Odin.

And boy was I right.

I mean I don't know how to feel about this. On one hand I'm all

Cause Loki's alive! But on the other hand I'm like

Did he KILL Odin? What did he do to him? I HAVE TO KNOW.

If he did Thor would KILL him. Literally KILL him. I just hope Odin's locked up away somewhere so he can be rescued later. Well its obvious there's gonna be another sequel.

DAT ENDING THO.. I still can't believe it. But I don't think Loki is evil. He's more like a mischievous guy now. I mean think about it. His mother died, he got along with his brother, he even risked his life protecting them! I think that personal vendetta against Thor is lessened. But I'm gonna be stating the obvious here; he's going to play another big part in the sequel. Maybe alongside another villain. Thanos? The Enchantress? Who knows? As long as all the original actors/actresses agree to reprise their roles in Thor 3, and directed by talented directors, you can be sure I'll be in line to watch it.

Also, for Tom Hiddleston. He's such a talented actor, and a nice guy. I'm glad he's gotten the fame he's deserved. I really hope to meet him someday, to tell him that.

Overall : Amazing movie. Definitely a must-watch for all Thor fans :)

...It isn't over yet, my friends!

I shouldn't start freaking out now, but I'm so close to finally changing my course.

(ASDFGHJKLASDFGHJKL)

All praises to Allah, I scored a qualifying test this upcoming tuesday! I cannot believe this is happening. This is, huge for me I mean it really changes the outcome of my life! Its unbelievababable! But I shouldn't be getting too ahead of myself. I have to go through an interview. Ack.

bUT those are the rules I suppose. How in the hay am I supposed to impress them? I'm all awkward like. Well they've just gotta like me for who I am. I have to impress them. This is the time to show them. Make sure they remember me.

There's also something that's been bugging me lately. Now I don't know if you know this, but I'm an addict. A Youtube addict. I could spend 3/4 of my day on youtube and NEVER get bored. The problem is, watching all these videos of celebrities, Youtube stars, singers, dancers, the list goes on..my life in terms of fun is nothing compared to theirs. All the excitement these people go through makes me depressed. Why? Because I realize, I ain't ever gonna get on any of that action! Sitting on my butt 24/7 watching these people live their fun filled lives while I watch enviously from behind the screen. Has anyone ever felt that way?

(To be continued...)

PS: I'm thinking of starting a fanfic soon. About what? No idea yet. Ohwell.

So Thor:The Dark World's coming out in November...

So pumped for Thor 2! Like I literally cannot wait for November. But hey, trailer looks real promising. I'm just gonna do a little review+my reaction on the trailer cos I'm a fan with nothing better to do.

So the trailer starts off with a truck suddenly drifting to float on air, with all the things inside floating too, like zero gravity. Then a big ship thingy rams into this place, a museum or university and people running and screaming. The voice narrating in the background tells us that darkness existed a long time ago. Jane and Darcy are at the museum/university (Erik Selvig is nowhere to be seen..) and then BAM! Thor appears on earth. Apparently for Jane, cos the next second he pulls her close, then WHOOSH, goes back to Asgard.Well, after saving them from that big scary thingy I assume. Darcy is left behind.

Then, here's where it gets interesting. We see Jane looking around in awe, then it flashes to Sif, giving Jane that look. You know what look I'm talkin bout. As soon as I saw Sif's face I was all

Definite love triangle right there. If Sif doesn't have some kind of feud with Jane I'm a mindless potato. Anyway suddenly it shows Thor and Jane walking beside each other, with..wait who's that leading them?

LOKI!! But we don't see much of him. Yet.

so...

Jane on  a operating table, her hands outstretched. Then we see Jane and Frigga in the same room. I mean I don't know about you but if I was Jane I'd probably be like

This is Thor's freaking MOM. Future mother-in-law. Really can't wait to see character development and interaction between these two. Theres a lot of fighting going on, and I see a new character in the battlefield. Not sure if she's one of the bad guys, or is just Sif in a different angle. I know, I suck. And we also get a glimpse of da Bad Guy, Maleketh. He's an elf  FYI, and man is he UUUGLY! He's doing some hocus pocus magic on Jane, she floating in the air then...we see a pair of knees fall to the ground, and this is Thor's reaction

And I'm like...whoa whoa whoa hey wait a minute...who falls to the ground? You'd probably assume its Jane when you first watch it, but I'm taking a closer look 2nd time round right, and I see the hands. I gasp. I recognize those hands. Its Loki's.

NOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!

What happens to him? Does he die? Is he hurt? If they killed him off...

I swear, all dem fangirls would be crying in the cinema.

So then we get a glimpse of where Loki is being held, in some white prison place, and Thor is coming to him for help. Thor tells him that should he betray him, he will kill him. Here we see that any hope Thor had that his brother still has some good in him has diminished. Loki replies "When do we start?" Thus ending the trailer. I have to be honest, after watching the trailer for the 1st time I said "Meh, it wasn't all that." Then after a few times watching again, I came to the conclusion that this is gonna be an awesome Thor movie, even though its not directed by Kenneth Branagh this time...and that they said its gonna be focused on Thor and Jane's relationship. I see that Loki has a huge part to play in this. So excited :D

TTFN

Ta Ta for now!

Procrastination - My Unhealthy Habit And How I Overcame It.

Okay I lied. I never did overcome this bad habit of mine. But will someone PLEASE tell me HOW? Its DE-wait for it-STROYING me! Wrecking my life. Ruining my vision.

I just had a 5 day holiday away from college, the last day being my mother's birthday. And what did I do for the previous four days? I freaking studied. Nothing. Alright? And I'm supposed be scoring a CGPA of 4 point oh this semester or else.. I'll be stuck in health science forever! Dammit I really hate myself sometimes. I always do things that prove detrimental to myself. In the end I end up on the losing side.

On a random note, we figured out that my brother becomes a different person after drinking orange juice. The amount of sugar in that juice gets him all hyper, and its extremely stressful looking after him in his hyper mode (TRUST me, you DON'T wanna know) I ain't gonna name the brand of that orange juice, I don't want any corporate services coming after me.

In other news, my back hurts for leaning too much.

ANYWAY.

Procrastination. Right. I'm gonna search some methods on getting rid of it once and for all. Wish me luck.

Gotta go. Till next time!

PS: About the sappy 'poem' post before...sorry about that. Its terrible, I know.

So That's It Then.

I walked into the Arts Department.

Stopped right in front of the mini cubicle where a man was working.

"Excuse me, I need to find out the results to change my course?"

"Just a minute."

I waited patiently.

"Well?" I felt like asking.

He looked up a while later.

"Name, and what course you want to switch to."

I told him.

He flipped a thin stack of papers, scanning it.

"Ah, here. Rejected."

I didn't move.

"What? Rejected?"

"Yes, rejected."

"You sure?"

"Ye-"

"ARE you very sure?"

"YES."

His tone had a hint of annoyance.

I nearly stretched out my hand to see for myself.

Then I decided not to.

For why would he lie

I turned around and walked out

Into a sea of people.

Into a wave of nothingness.

For what is life, but a mystery?

Where we're always expecting

Yet rarely giving.

With expectations set too high

For a lost cause.

And then realizing

When others come to know

They will breathe a sympathetic sigh

But no more will be said

Because there is nothing more to be told

The sea of people did not suffocate me

But the conversation with a friend did

When she told of her fortune

Of being given a test to prove herself

While I was given none

Oh but a chance stood a month ago!

When she offered to join the course she was going to switch

Yet we were in the same boat,

Where rejection was for us both,

Now it is for me

For I had tried a different course

Oh sweet life!

Why have you soured me so

In this fashion?

I cannot fathom how grateful I am

For all the blessings I have received

from you, O Allah

What should I do, I wonder

Is this a sign?

Was I not meant to pursue Economics,

Or a Bachelor's in English?

Is science really my true passion?

I guess there's nothing left to do

But to accept it

So....

That's It Then.

That feeling you get...

....when you FINALLY accomplish something. It may not be perfect, or exactly how you imagined it would be, but its still an accomplishment, an improvement from before. You've finally managed to impress them and let them know that you ARE getting better every day. Triumphant ( I just love that word ) isn't enough to describe that feeling. You swell with pride as you recollect what they said about you. But you don't want to let it get to your head, otherwise you might get cocky. But, you can't hide the happiness you feel when you realize that this is a big step to improving yourself further.

I think that one of the ways to improve yourself, is to make a big fool of yourself first. Not intentionally, of course! That's just crazy. What I mean is to put yourself out there. No matter if you're really bad at it, or if you have no experience, the best thing to do is to TRY. And if you don't succeed, try again. Try, try again. I honestly think I look like a fool every time I step forward to do it. But tonight was just...different. I actually had faith in myself. I had done badly the day before, so I was determined to make things right. Show them that my commitment to coming for practice was benefiting me. I think I gave that impression tonight.

Of course, there is a possibility they said that because they don't want to hurt my feelings by saying I suck almost every time. But when they spoke, I feel that they meant what they said. My heart lifted when they said I was *this* close to succeeding completely. I can honestly say that going for this camp during my semester holiday is WORTH IT.

So, next time you want to excel in something, try doing it again and again. Now, you've probably heard this phrase too many times, but I think its one of the best.

 Practice. Makes. Perfect.

Period.
